I always keep a table in the shop to work on bit by bit and
it gives us a little extra money. I chip away at it. Let the process take its
time. When I’m working on it I feel a fullness, and when I’m away I wake at
three in the morning scared to death about it breaking apart from poor
craftsmanship or from end-customer neglect. These tables fill me both with a
sense of joy and terror. Is this passion or foolishness?
